Information Secretary of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), Fouzia Wahab MNA on Sunday said her party is pursuing the policy of reconciliation. Addressing her first press conference in the city after assuming office of PPP spokesperson, she said we have maintained reconciliatory atmosphere in the country and erased differences with all political parties in Pakistan.
She also paid rich tribute to Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto for her services for the democracy. PPP leader thanked President, Asif Ali Zardari for appointing her at the post of PPPs Information Secretary. She termed her appointment as PPPs Information Secretary as triumph of the hard work and eligibility of the party workers. Fouzia Wahab said that the workers of the party have always supported the leaders, in all times and weathers.
She said that we have taken over Pakistans economy in extremely difficult situation and strive to take it in the right direction, as now all economic institutions are going positive.
We have not received any report about closure of business activities by any financial institution in the country, likewise the Oil and Gas companies are also working and any report about ending of business by any of it is not received, she said. She told a questioner that the Senator Raza Rabbani is still taking part in party meetings while Sherry Rehman has also said that she is committed with PPP.
Rejecting the report about any spilt in PPP, she that PPP is completely united as all party leaders and workers have confidence in the party leadership. She called upon the PML-N to adopt the approach of reconciliation and avoid levelling baseless allegations.
She said there is complete harmony between the President and the Prime Minister and all decisions are being taken with mutual consultation. To another question, she said that there was a crisis of electricity in the country but no investment has been made in the sector between 1997 to 2008. We will revitalise the power sector including electricity as various projects are underway in this regard, she said.
