Chief Justice of Pakistan, Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry did not participate in Awards Distribution Ceremony held in connection with Pakistan Day at Awan-e-Sadar on Monday. Registrar Supreme Court Dr Faqir Hussain in his statement said that invitation was given to Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry, but he could not participate in the ceremony due to pre-occupation in preparing cases.
He said the Chief Justice of Pakistan politely declined the invitation.
