President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani have extended their heartiest felicitations to the newly elected office bearers of All Pakistan Newspapers Society (APNS).
In their separate congratulatory messages to President of APNS Mujeeb-ur-Rehman Shami and Secretary General Dr Jabbar Khattak, the President and the Prime Minister conveyed their sincere greetings and best wishes to the members of the newly elected body and said that it reflects the confidence of the Newspapers community upon their leadership.
They hoped that government-press friendly relations would continue to flourish during the tenure of the newly elected body of APNS in larger interest of the country. The President and the Prime Minister reiterated the governments commitment towards freedom of expression and functioning of the press independently.-PR
