Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani has asked Interior Ministry to enhance security across the country particularly around the key institutions of law enforcement agencies. Law enforcement agencies should be given special task to tighten the security around the key institutions and safety of the people be given top most priority, the Prime Minister directed Rehman Malik during a meeting here on Thursday.
Gilani was of the view that the terrorists are making security personnel and their institutions target so that it is necessary to enhance the security around the offices of security agencies. Keeping in view the information of the intelligence agencies regarding the possible terrorist attacks, the prime minister asked the law enforcement agencies to make sure the close co-ordination between each other to enhance the vigilance on terrorists to avoid the attacks.
Rehman Malik called on Prime Minister Gilani here at the Prime Minister House and briefed him about overall law and order situation in the country. Malik apprised Gilani about the threats of possible terror attacks and measures taken to avoid these attacks.
