Civic life in the city came to a halt, when violence broke out in eastern part of the city after killing of a political worker on Thursday. According to details, Syed Kamal son of Sardar Hussain, who was said to be the resident of Pehalwan Goth, was shot dead near his residence on Thursday night.
The deceased was taken to local hospital, where he succumbed to his bullet wounds. When body of the deceased was taken to his residence, some miscreants from the area start pelting stones on vehicles and blocked the roads due to which traffic flow was affected badly. Angry people set ablaze tyres on fire and burnt a mazda bus, as a reaction, against killing of their companion.
After the incident, angry people in other parts of the metropolis started pelting stones on vehicles and blocked roads, which caused traffic mess. However, no official of Law Enforcement Agencies (LEAs) could be contacted till filing this report.
