Citibank N.A. Pakistan (Citi) has launched a bilingual version of its chequebook becoming the first bank in Pakistan to offer this facility in both English and Urdu languages across 10 cities. The unprecedented move, effective April 10, is part of Citis continuous enhancement of services for its customers.
"The launch of Citis bilingual chequebook marks a milestone for banking in the country and represents the first of many customised features we aim to introduce over the next few months including localising of all customer communication" said Azim Alvi Citis Consumer Business Head in Pakistan. "Our aim is to increase accessibility for all our customers".
"Citi has consistently led the industry by introducing innovative products and services that enhance our customers banking experiences," Citi Country Officer & Managing Director Arif Usmani Said. "We have recognised an increasing demand in the market for a localisation of systems and our bilingual chequebook is testimony to our continuous endeavour to enhance convenience and accessibility for our customers".
Citis business in Pakistan provides a variety of best-in-class products and services to more than 200,000 consumer and institutional clients. Citis consumer bank was launched in 1990 and since then has many "firsts" to its credit including launching the first credit card in Pakistan, pioneering consumer asset financing, introducing the first 24/7 call centre and launching bancassurancemilestones that have set a standard for others in the banking industry.-PR
