The profit after tax of Attock Cement Pakistan Limited has increased to Rs 317.897 million in the quarter ended March 31, 2009 as compared to Rs 108.119 million in the corresponding period in 2008. The board of directors of the company in its meeting declared that the company's earning per share surged to Rs 4.41 in the period under review against Rs 1.50 in the same period last year.
According to the financial results, the company's net sales increased to Rs 2.374 billion against Rs 1.470 billion, while cost of sales surged to Rs 1.765 billion against Rs 1.219 billion. The company's profit before taxation increased to Rs 438.670 million in the three months period in 2009 against Rs 149.240 million earned in the same period in 2008.
