Dispelling the impression of any threat to the official record of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB), the spokesman of the NAB said that NAB headquarters was fully alive to the situation and data is completely safe. Islamabad police was contacted to provide additional security to safeguard the material at NAB headquarters, the spokesman said in a statement on Friday.
He said that the DIG Islamabad Police was keen enough to personally visit the NAB headquarters regarding the safety measures of the NAB record. A joint meeting was held between DIG Islamabad and NAB officials in which a comprehensive security plan was chalked out, based on a thorough threat analysis.
The security plan chalked out in the joint meeting has hence been operationlised and complete security and safety of the material at NAB HQs as well as regional HQs is being maintained with beefed up manpower and technical security arrangements.
