Provincial Co-ordinator of Benazir Bhutto Shaheed Youth Development Programme (BBSYDP) Abdul Razaq Qureshi has said that the government has launched BBSYDP to alleviate poverty by controlling unemployment through skill development of educated youth and providing them jobs.
Addressing members of Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry's (KCCI) sub-committee on health and education here on Saturday, he said that every year many youth get bachelors degrees from universities but they were unable to get jobs having no skill in hand. He said that in fist phase under the programme, as many as 100,000 young people between the age of 18 to 35 and having qualification from metric to post graduate would be trained in different fields.
