PNSC earns Rs 1.940 billion profit in nine months

The consolidated profit after tax of Pakistan National Shipping Corporation (PNSC) has increased to Rs 1.940 billion in the nine months period of FY09 against Rs 1.514 billion earned in the corresponding period of FY08. The board of directors of the company in its meeting declared that the company's earning per share has increased to Rs 14.69 in this period against Rs 11.46 in the same period last year.
According to the financial results, the company's revenue increased to Rs 9.503 billion in this period against Rs 7.471 billion in the same period a year back. The company's expenditure stood at Rs 7.055 billion in nine months against Rs 5.533 billion in the same period last year. The consolidated profit before tax of PNSC increased to Rs 2.341 billion in nine months period in this fiscal year against Rs 1.915 billion in the same period of previous fiscal year.
