To provide provisional stay to internally displaced persons repatriating from war-turned Buner district, Al-Khidmat Foundation has set-up a relief camp at Chota Lahore near Sawabi to send them to transit relief camps at Bilo Dhand Salim Khan, Naranji and Gadoon.
Hundreds of displaced and helpless families enter Sawabi district from neighbouring Buner district. Some of them are getting stay with their relatives while few pour into rented houses. Emergency arrangements for provision of basic relief and stay to the homeless families are made at the land of irrigation department.
An emergency meeting of Al-Khidmat Foundation district Sawabi was held here which was presided over by former MNA Muhammad Usman Khan Advocate. They reviewed the pace of relief work and decided to establish main reception camp at Jamaat Islami local office where the affected families will be provided transport and other facilities. DCO Sawabi has assured his full assistance in rehabilitation of displaced families.
