The federal government on Wednesday appointed Sohail Ahmad, Additional Secretary Finance Division, as new Chairman, Federal Board of Revenue, (FBR) from May 18, 2009. In this connection Establishment Division has issued a notification late Wednesday night. Sohail Ahmad, who is a BS-21 Officer of District Management Group, would replace Ahmad Waqar, Chairman FBR. Ahmad Waqar will retire on May 18.
