The World Environment Day will be commemorated on June 5. The World Environment Day, commemorated each year on 5 June, is one of the principal vehicles through which the United Nations stimulates world-wide awareness of the environment and enhances political attention and action. The Day was originally fixed by United Nations General Assembly in 1972 in an effort to stimulate public awareness towards the environment.
