Faysal Bank Limited and Institute of Business Administration, Karachi (IBA) signed a Memorandum of Understanding by virtue of which Faysal Bank will contribute Rs 50 million towards the sponsorship of one academic chair in the IBA's Executive MBA - Banking and Financial Services programme commencing from September 2009.
Dr Ishrat Hussain, Dean and Director IBA and Naved A. Khan P&CEO of Faysal Bank signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organisations. IBA is launching a 2 year Executive MBA - Banking and Financial Services programme geared exclusively towards mid career officers and executives.
This programme is being developed in consultation with leading professionals and a high powered Advisory Board will provide necessary guidance for its continuous improvement. The banks and FSIs have appreciated this programme and assured their sponsorship for IBA's initiative to develop quality human capital for the banking sector.
Faysal Bank has been operating in Pakistan since 1987 and is listed on the Karachi and Lahore Stock Exchanges. The bank has approximately 2000 employees, a branch network of 129 branches, 2 sub-branches, one sale and service centre and an ATM network of 93, in 38 cities across Pakistan.-PR
