Telenor, Pakistan's fastest-growing mobile service provider, has teamed up with Nokia Siemens Networks to implement an energy efficient GSM network that will enable the communication service provider (CSP) to reduce its energy consumption by 50 percent.
Nokia Siemens Networks will build the network using its award-winning Flexi Base Stations which help to minimise a network's environmental impact through reducing its carbon emissions. Telenor Pakistan is committed to significant reductions of its carbon emissions by 2011 and is leading the drive for greener telecom solutions in the Pakistani market.-PR
