The SOS Children's Village of Pakistan intends to establish more SOS villages in Peshawar and Mansehra to enhance its accommodation capacity with the aim to extend maximum help to deserving children. This was stated by President of the SOS Children's Village of Pakistan, Suriya Anwar, during a briefing to NWFP Governor, Owais Ahmed Ghani, on the future projects of the organisation, at the Governor's House here on Thursday.
Suriya Anwar told the Governor that her organisation had also launched a vocational training programme in collaboration with Emergency Response Unit for the internally displaced children. The Governor appreciated the role of the SOS Children's Village in looking after deserving children. He praised the plans of the organisation to enhance the scope of its services in the province and assured every possible support in materialising its programmes for the wellbeing of the children.
