This was stated by a three-member delegation, headed by Chinese Ambassador Luo Zhaohui, in a meeting with Minister of States and Frontiers Regions (SAFRON) Najamuddin Khan here on Thursday.
The minister thanked the Chinese delegation for donating three-day salaries and said China was a time-tested friend of Pakistan, which always helped Pakistani people in the need. The minister said that the government had taken all steps to ensure transparency in the distribution of relief assistance among the IDPs so that the relief items could be reached to the deserved persons.
He also suggested that China could invest in building small hydropower projects on the Swat and Panjgor rivers to produce electricity to overcome shortage of power in the country.-PR
