Peoples Lawyer Forum (PLF) Punjab has greeted the lawyers affiliated with the Forum for their appointments as law officers of the Province. In a joint statement issued here Friday, Sardar Khurram Latif Khan Khosa, Malik Nasir Ahmad Awan, Iftikhar Shahid, Rana Sufyan Arshad and Shaista Qaiser expressed the expectation that these law officers will act effectively to deliver the justice in collaboration with the provincial superior judiciary.
They said it was a matter of great satisfaction that PLF had been given the due share as per the ratio agreed between coalition partners PML-N and PPP in Punjab and the credit goes to Chief Minister Punjab Mian Shahbaz Sharif and Senior Minister Punjab Raja Riaz Ahmad. They further stated that the list of PLF's lawyers with regard to the adjustments in Prosecution Department as Additional Prosecutor Generals and Deputy Prosecutor Generals was at final stage. The notification in this regard was expected to be issued by the end of this month and the lawyers who had struggled against the military dictator were accommodated in these appointments, they said.
