Pakistan and China have reaffirmed to cooperate with each other in fighting extremism and militancy to ensure peace in the region. The consensus in this regard was reached here when the Secretary General of Pakistan People's Party (PPP), Senator Jehangir Badar called on Ai Ping, Director General of International Department, Communist Party of China, (CPC), said Senator Badr while talking to APP on Tuesday.
'We have discussed the prospects of future relations between CPC and PPP and how to further consolidate these ties,' said Badar. Expressing deep sentiments on behalf of PPP for strong ties between the CPC, and ruling PPP as well as between the two governments, Badar said that these co-operative relations would continue for all time to come.
The Chinese leader, Senator Badar also agreed that to enhance interaction between the two sides there is need for further promoting exchange of visits of various delegations including trade and economic, adding that it is also in the interest of the two ruling parities in their respective countries.
Badar said that it was concluded in the meeting to hold seminar and workshops organised by CPC and PPP and also find out ways and means to extend co-operation to eradicate terrorism from Pakistan and from the region as a whole. Ai Ping on the occasion also renewed the invitation for inviting Chairman PPP Bilawal Bhutto Zardari to China at his convenience time.

Senator Badar pointed out that the CPC had extended invitation for Bilawal Bhutto when a PPP delegation led by him visited China last month. Jehangir Badar also appreciated the efforts of diplomatic staff of Pakistan Embassy here in promoting Pakistan, China friendship by facilitating the delegations from both sides.
