The hearing of murder case of Mir Murtaza Bhutto and seven others of PPP (Shaheed Bhutto group) was adjourned till July 11 by Additional District and Sessions Judge, East after recording of statement of one more Prosecution Witness (PW).
Head Constable (HC) Ahmed Khan who was the driver of one of the police mobile which were involved in the alleged shoot out between police and PPP-SB men deposed before the court. The court after recording his examination in chief adjourned further proceedings till July 11.
The case pertains to alleged killing of Mir Murtaza Bhutto, chief of his own faction of PPP, Senior Vice President (SVP), Ashique Hussain Jatoi and six supporters/workers on September 20, 1996 in shoot out with city police. More than two dozen police officers and officials are facing trial in the case.
