Wapda celebrates Independence Day with enthusiasm

WAPDA felicitated warmly the Independence Day with traditional fervour and enthusiasm. The main ceremony in this connection was held here at Wapda House with Wapda Member (Power) Fazal Ahmed Khan as its Chief Guest. He unfurled Pakistan's flag in step with the national ceremony at the Federal Capital.
The participants on this occasion sang the national anthem while school children of WAPDA cheered the audience with the national songs. Speeches were also delivered pertaining to the blessings of freedom and our responsibilities. Later, gifts were presented to the children of deceased WAPDA employees. Prizes were also distributed amongst the school children of WAPDA. Flag hoisting ceremonies were also held at various WAPDA projects throughout Pakistan.
