Security forces have arrested 32 terrorists including a notorious commander while 10 others have surrendered during ongoing 'Operation Rah e Raast' in Swat and other parts of Malakand on Tuesday. The terrorists' resistance was crushed, which is forcing them to surrender before the security forces, said a spokesman of Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

Meanwhile, the spokesman of ISPR said that during last week security forces personnel foiled two suicide bombers' attempts to cause damage and destruction to precious lives of innocent civilians and property in Swat by sacrificing their own lives.
He said that on August 15 a suicide bomber, who wanted to target civil population and infrastructure in Waliabad near Khawazakhela was checked at a security forces checkpost where he prematurely blew himself up resulting into shahadat of 3 security forces personnel. Similarly, at Nawakili near Mingora on August 16, a suicide bomber, who wanted to target CNG Station and Nawakili exchange, was spotted and chased by security forces personnel. He entered in a house and blew himself up. In this incident an officer, Major Zubair and a soldier embraced Shahadat and three security forces personnel were injured.
Security Forces are effectively checking and pre-empting the terrorists activities. On one hand, they are making all endeavours to protect the civilian lives in populated areas even at the cost of their own lives and on the other, they are chasing and killing leftover terrorists, who are on the run.
