Where various companies intend to make gaming laptops to be light and thin, HP just launched its monstrous Omen X Laptop.

The huge laptop weighs 10.8 lbs with 17.3-inch screen. For compensating the drawback of not being easily portable, HP gives the users an amazingly customized notebook that contains enough graphics horsepower for handling anything including 4K gaming.

The massive Omen X is sharp with angular design that makes it look like a military weapon. Due to its bulkiness, the laptop is a bit difficult to hold even with two hands.

Keeping in view of the fact that the laptop contains all the vital latest technology, it is mainly made for devoted gamers who require perfect experience. For better performance, the laptop features a mechanical LED RGB-backlit keyboard that is effectively responsive despite of having less space for keys as a desktop offering. The keyboard is ideal for gaming but also be used to type on with great pleasure, according to Engadget.

The RAM, storage or other such components can be easily upgraded. The user can also set up RAID 0 in order to boost the disk performance. HP further claimed that the user would have total control of the CPU and GPU.

Omen X has a great 17.3-inch 4K display along with an option of 1080p variant that has an enhanced refresh rate of 120Hz. The laptop comprises of Intel’s 7th generation Core i7 processors with Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 graphics card.

Windowsreport informed that the gaming laptop has a transparent panel at its back through which gamers can swap out the HDD, SSD or the RAM easily instead of opening up the entire device. It will also feature cooling system that contains a vapor chamber and four 3.5mm heat pipes that would transfer heat to four radiators.

In terms of connectivity, HP has enabled an 802.11ac Wi-Fi and Bluetooth module in the laptop. An Ethernet port, two Thunderbolt 3 (USB-C) headers an HDMI 2.0a output, mini DisplayPort, three USB 3.0 Type-A connectors, an SD card reader, a 3.5mm audio jack, stereo speakers, webcam and a microphone is also embedded in the laptop.

Omen X has however, slightly expensive costing $2,199 and will be released by November.
