The Saudi authorities granted consular access to the Consulate General of Pakistan to see the Pakistani detainees here on Wednesday as a result of the hectic efforts of Ambassador Umar Khan Ali Sherzai. The Acting Consul General Murad Ali along with the Vice Consul (Welfare) visited the local jail where they were allowed to meet the two Pakistani male detainees Arif Chohan and Anis, said a message received here from Jeddah.
Consular access to the female detainees will be granted on Saturday. The Consul General informed that the two detainees were in good health and was looking confident. They were grateful for the efforts being made by the government of Pakistan.
