Kaira terms expatriates assets of the nation

Minister for Information and Broadcasting Qamar Zaman Kaira said on Wednesday that overseas Pakistanis were assets of the nation and the present democratic government was taking steps to utilise their potential in progress of the country. While talking to Irshad Ali Kamboh, President Pakistan Peoples Party France who met him here, the minister said that the government would give special incentives to the overseas Pakistanis so that they can invest here.
He appreciated overseas Pakistanis who contribute foreign remittances to the national exchequer in the form of foreign exchange. He said that the government would take steps for the welfare of expatriates, so that they feel comfortable and work efficiently to bring a good name to their motherland. Party related matters also figured in the meeting.
