Withered buntings, flags collected, lowered into sea

The withered buntings and national flags were collected from streets and other places by the volunteers of Chhipa Welfare Association and then disposed of in a respectable manner by lowering into the sea. This was announced in a statement of the Association issued here on Sunday.
It said that these buntings and flags were used for decoration during the Independence Day celebrations.
Many of these withered and scattered in the streets, which were collected by the volunteers of the Chhipa Welfare Association and lowered into the sea at Native Jetty here. On the occasion, the chief of the Association, Ramzan Chhipa said that the national flag is our identity and it is incumbent upon us to maintain its sanctity.
