The withered buntings and national flags were collected from streets and other places by the volunteers of Chhipa Welfare Association and then disposed of in a respectable manner by lowering into the sea. This was announced in a statement of the Association issued here on Sunday.
It said that these buntings and flags were used for decoration during the Independence Day celebrations.
