The Karachi Port handled 94,501 tonnes of cargo including 58,019 tonnes import and 36,482 tonnes export cargo including 3,355 empty and loaded containers during last 24 hours ending at 0700 hours on Wednesday. The cargo comprised of 76,978 tonnes dry cargo including 53,657 tonnes containerised and general cargo; 2,023 tonnes fertiliser; 17,041 tonnes coal; 4,029 tonnes rock phosphate; 228 tonnes cement and 17,523 tonnes oil/liquid cargo.
Seven ships namely Silver Zone, Bunga Raya Lima, Asdrubal, APL Brisbane, Al-Marwah, Thomas Mann and Ellenita sailed out to sea during the report period. Five vessels viz Hanjin Ningbo, Cape Sable, Atlantic Miracle, Ocean of Luck and Baffin are currently at the berths.
Four ships namely Atlantic Miracle, Baffin, AVA and Cape Sable expected to sail on Wednesday, while another vessel viz Hanjin Ningbo is expected to sail on Thursday. Six vessels viz Gulf Tiger, Hyundai Duke, Sima Sahba, H&H Wave, Limmat-1 and Yue Hai due to arrive on Wednesday, while another seven ships namely Queen Arrow-II, Jasmine Express, Alpine Madeleine, LTC Calvin P. Titus, TS Qingdao, Alikil and Winco Rose are due to arrive on Thursday.

PORT QASIM
A total cargo volume of 77,373 tonnes comprising 57,090 tonnes import and 20,283 tonnes export inclusive of containerised cargo carried in 2,427 containers (TEUs) was handled during last 24 hours on Wednesday.
The cargo comprised of 36,560 tonnes furnace oil; 4,000 tonnes palm oil; 4,383 tonnes cement and 32,430 tonnes containerised cargo. Three ships CV Maersk Virginia, CV Eddy Stone and MT Chem Bulk Ulsan sailed out to sea during last 24 hours, while another ship namely CV Nedlloyed Honshu is expected to sail on Wednesday. A total of seven vessels viz ACX Crystal, MSC Bulgaria, Stella, New Toyokaze, Wilma, Rozy and Gulf Eagle scheduled to load/offload containers, furnace oil, palm oil, project cargo and cement are currently at the outer anchorage.
Seven ships namely CV Nedlloyed Honshu, CV Eddy Stone, MV Alexi-3, MV Tekeze, MV Hiba Al-Noor-B, MT Chem Bulk Ulsan and MT Memphis are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, cement, palm oil and furnace oil respectively during last 24 hours.
Four ships namely CV ACX Crystal, CV CMA CGM Jade, MT Toyokaze and MV Wilma carrying containers, palm oil and project cargo are expected to take berths at Container Terminal, Liquid Cargo Terminal and Multi Purpose Terminal respectively on Wednesday.
Three vessels viz MT Cherry Galaxy, MT Catterick and MT SC Xiamen are due to arrive on Wednesday, while two container ships namely CV CMA CGM Eiffel and CV UASC Ramadi are due to arrive on Thursday. Seven ships namely Maersk Novazzano, CSAV Rio Maule, Saudi Abha, Gemini, Ocean of Luck, Great Bright and Rapallo carrying containers, cement, yellow peas, coke and coal are also expected to arrive.
