Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani, in a massive bureaucratic reshuffle on Friday, sent home Interior Secretary Kamal Shah, Privatisation Secretary Ahmed Jawad and Election Commission Secretary Kanwar Dilshad, and decided not to renew the contract of Information Secretary Ashfaq Gondal. Chairman of Competition Commission of Pakistan (CCP) Khalid A Mirza was also removed. Nargis Sethi promoted to Grade 22 and would work as Principal Secretary to the Prime Minister.
Industries and Production Secretary Khwaja Shahabudin was given the charge of Privatisation Commission Secretary and Qamar Zaman was promoted to Grade 22 as Interior Secretary. Mansoor Suhail, promoted to Grade 22, will take charge as Information Secretary after the expiry of the contract of the present incumbent.
Ghaffar Soomro was promoted to Grade 22 and posted as Industries Secretary. Inamullah Khan, promoted to Grade 22, was posted as Minority Affairs Secretary, while Zafeer Abbasi, promoted to Grade 22 and will take charge as Tourism Secretary after the retirement of the present incumbent.
Javed Akhtar, promoted to Grade 22 and posted as Chairman of Competition Commission of Pakistan, Khalid Idrees, promoted to Grade 22, was posted as Zakat and Ushr Secretary, Neelam Ali, promoted to Grade 22 and posted as Managing Director of OPF, Batool Qureshi, promoted to Grade 22, posted as Chairperson of National Tariff Commission and will take charge after the retirement of the present incumbent.
Ahmed Mehmood Zahid, promoted to Grade 22, and posted as Secretary of Inter-provincial Co-ordination, Abdul Shafiq, promoted to Grade 22 and posted as Secretary of Special Initiatives, Ghulam Rasool Aphan, promoted to Grade 22 and posted as Chairman of State Engineering Co-operation, Gul Ahmed Rind promoted to Grade 22.
He was working as Director General of Nara and the post has been upgraded, Agha Sarwar Qazalbash, promoted to Grade 22, and would continue working as Secretary of Religious Affairs, Anees-ul-Hasan Moosvi, promoted to Grade 22 and would continue working as Secretary, Sports, Major Moeen, promoted to Grade 22, would continue working as Secretary of Culture, Nayar Hussain, promoted to Grade 22 and posted as Secretary, Labour; Sabtain Fazal Haleem will take charge of EAD Secretary after the retirement of the present incumbent; Nargis Sethi promoted to Grade 22 and would work as Principal Secretary to the Prime Minister. Ather Tahir promoted to Grade 22.
Asif Bajwa, promoted to Grade 22, and posted as Special Secretary, Finance; Qamar Zaman, promoted to Grade 22, posted as Secretary of Interior; Imtiaz Qazi, promoted to Grade 22, posted as Secretary, Social Welfare; Ishtiaq Ahmed Khan, promoted to Grade 22, posted as Secretary Election Commission of Pakistan; Shahid Rashid, promoted to Grade 22 and his current post of Managing Director of Smeda, has been upgraded to Grade 22; Nasir Khosa, promoted to Grade 22 and posted as Chief Secretary of Balochistan; Javed Iqbal, promoted to Grade 22 and posted as Chief Secretary of NWFP; Javed Mehmood, promoted to Grade 22 and posted as Chief Secretary of Punjab; Sami Saeed, promoted to Grade 22, Junaid Iqbal promoted to Grade 22 and posted as Secretary of Wafaqi Mohtasib; Suhail Ahmed, promoted to grade 22 and would continue working as Chairman of the FBR; Ghulam Ali Pasha, promoted to Grade 22, Ahmed Baksh Lehri promoted to grade 22 and will take charge as Secretary, Housing and Works, after the retirement of the present incumbent; Imtiaz Inayat, promoted to Grade 22 and would continue as Chairman of CDA
The following officers of Police Service of Pakistan are promoted to Grade 22 and they would continue on the same posts. Syed Shabir Ahmed, Tariq Khosa, Javed Iqbal, Tariq Saleem Dogar, Javed Noor, Waseem Kausar in their personal capacity, Khalid Farooq in his personal capacity, The following officers of Audit and Accounts Service are promoted to Grade 22: Javed Arif, Ayub Tarin, Atif Usman, Ghalibudin and posted as Secretary, Youth Affairs. The following officers of Foreign Service are promoted to Grade 22: Khalid Khattak, Haroon Shaukat, Zamir Akram, Jalil Abbas Jilani and Masood Khan.
