Oklahoma State University USA, University of Agriculture, Faisalabad (UAF) and Lok Sanjh Foundation (LSF), Pakistan, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to enhance co-operation on the basis of equity for the mutual benefit of all parties. This agreement is a part of efforts to continue and expand long legacy and to promote increased understanding between the United States and Pakistan.
According to MoU all three organisations will jointly utilise collaborative efforts by involving the areas of instruction, research and extension and may include various forms of exchange among professionals and scholars. The purpose of MoU is to promote agricultural and rural development activities in order to boost the economy at rural level.
MarleneStrathe, provost and Senior Vice-President, James G Hromas, Director, International Education and Outreach, Robert E Whitson, Vice-President, Dean and Director of Division of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources, David Henneberry, Director International Agricultural Programs signed from Oklahoma State University.
While Professor Dr Iqrar Ahmad Khan, Vice Chancellor UAF, Dr Asif Ali Khan, Director External Linkages and Dr Muhammad Ashfaq, Chairman Agri Economics signed on behalf of UAF, and Dr Shahid Zia, Chairman, Dr Farzana Shahid, Executive Director and Qamar Mohy-ud-Din Director (PRA) from Lok Sanjh Foundation Islamabad Pakistan signed MoU on behalf of its organisation.
