Garden Police has arrested three distributors of fake American oil and recovered huge quantity of fake oil with foreign brand tags. According to police sources, investigation police on a complaint of Premier Corporation, the agent and distributor of American Wagges Brake Oil, against the supply of fake and substandard oil in the local market, raided godowns of Aziz Trader, Yasir Autos and Mohammadi Autos at Auto Market and recovered huge quantity of fake oil with the American brand tags.
Police also apprehended three accused including Sheikh Wakeel, Zaheer and Arif, they said, adding that the accused were involved in supplying fake brake oil with the tag of famous American Oil - Wagges 21 Brake Oil - in the local market throughout the country.
Police registered a case, No 491/2009, under the Copyright Act against the accused and started further investigations. Sources said the accused during initial investigations have confessed that they were involved in supplying fake brake oil in the local market after purchasing it from local industries namely Taha and Brothers.
