The Vice Chancellor Mehran University of Engineering and Technology Jamshoro has rusticated two students of the Department of Industrial Engineering and Management for a period of one year with effect from August 7, 2009. The university spokesman has informed here on Friday that both the students were found involved in creating chaos, panic as well as law and order situation in the campus from time to time.
On 7th August 2009, Farman Ali s/o Ali Nawaz Bhangwar had registered FIR No: 157/2009 at Police Station Jamshoro against the murder of Asadur Rehman Abbasi. He further said that the decision of the rustication of the students Ahmed Hussain Jatt s/o Niaz Hussain Jatt and Muhammad Hussain Jatt s/o Muhammad Yousuf Jatt was taken while exercising powers under clause 12.10 (n) of the Students Conduct and Discipline Regulations 1978 amended 6-7-2006.
Before taking decision of the rustication, the Discipline Committee had given show cause notices to them two times on 29 August 2009 and 5 September 2009, however, both the students failed to record their statement before the Discipline Committee.
