Summaries of the ICE Futures US cocoa, coffee and sugar markets early on Friday. December arabica coffee contract eased 0.10 cent to $1.3595 per lb at 10:59 am EDT (1459 GMT). Session range from $1.3380 to $1.3710, the highest since August 13.
Arabica futures reversed lower after hitting a five-week high, on two-sided investor dealings and some producer selling amid the firm dollar, said brokers. October raw sugar contract fell 0.21 cent to 22.45 cents per lb at 10:59 am. Trading range from 22.06 to 22.66 cents. Market followed the commodity complex and US crude oil futures lower, said traders.
Benchmark December cocoa contract rose $15 to $3,089 per tonne by 11:00 am. Session range from $3,025 to $3,130. US cocoa consolidated in choppy dealings, following Wednesday's 14-month high, buoyed by fund buying and feeling pressure from the weak pound against the dollar, said traders.
