Divisional Commissioner Tahir Hussain has said that foolproof security and logistic arrangements have been finalised for smooth conduct of medical entrance test 2009 tomorrow. The entrance test will be conducted at 13 centres in 12 cities in the Punjab province. Approximately 2200 candidates are expected to appear at Faisalabad centre.
Necessary instructions had been given to examination department and candidates to ensure transparency in the process. The commissioner said during his visit to examination centre set-up at UAF. Vice Chancellor UAF, Dr Iqrar Ahmad, CPO Muhammad Tahir, DOC Syed Mubashir Hussain, SP Special Branch Ziaullah Niazi, ACR Shafqatullah Mushtaq and others also accompanied him.
Hussain said that entrance test will be conducted in a smooth, transparent and flawless manner making it comfortable for candidates, parents and examination staff. The test will start at 9am sharp on the scheduled date. The candidates have been directed to reach at their respective centres one-hour before the commencement of the test. Supervisory staff will check every candidate to foil the attempt to take the test for someone else.
The representative of University of Health Sciences, which is conducting the entrance test told Hussain that all the candidates have been instructed to show their admit card issued by the university because without admit card, entrance will not be allowed. He further apprised the commissioner that candidates have also been informed about the prohibited items including cell phones, mini computers, digital dictionary, calculator and any other electronic equipment.
