The Lahore High Court (LHC) here on Friday restored the office-bearers of Athletic Federation of Pakistan (AFP) to their offices after suspending the order of Pakistan Sports Board (PSB) and issued notices to respondents for October 1. President Safdar Hussain and Secretary Khalid Mahmood Athletic Federation of Pakistan (AFP) through a petition has challenged their suspension and withholding grant of AFP.
Their counsel Pervez Mir pleaded that they were elected office-bearers of the federation in election held on September 16 but the PSB illegally suspended them on September 19 on the ground that no one could be elected for third term under Sport Policy 2007.
