One policeman died while two others sustained minor injuries when a bomb planted in a motorbike exploded in front of the B&R office Gwadar, police said Thursday. According to the officials, the police rushed to the site after local people of the area complained about the presence of a suspicious motorbike in the sensitive area of the port town.
When the police party approached the area, the power bomb fitted in the bike exploded killing one policeman identified as Jalal, a resident of district Turbat on the spot. Two other officials were also wounded and hospitalised for treatment of minor injuries. No group has claimed responsibility for the blast. Police are investigating the matter.
