Utility Stores Corporation (USC) on Thursday admitted the shortage of sugar at its outlets, as the mills were not providing the commodity. The Utility Store Corporation (USC) and its top management was in negotiation with the sugar mills for the sufficient supply of the commodity to the corporation, Wajid Ali Swati the USC Spokesman told APP here.
He expressed the hope that supply situation of sugar at the USC outlets would improve soon. "We are selling the commodity at Rs 38 per kg at our outlets which is much cheaper as compared to the market prices", he remarked.
However, he said that Managing Director of the Corporation and its management is making efforts for the supply of sufficient quantity of sugar at the outlet to benefit the customers. Meanwhile, Wajid Swati in a statement said that the Utility Stores Corporation (USC) has reduced the prices of Utility Brand ghee and oil prices to Rs 4 per kg to provide the commodity on control rates to the consumers.
