City Nazim Mustafa Kamal on Thursday inaugurated Al-Murtaza Family Model Park constructed in Jamshed Town with special efforts of Town Nazim Javed Ahmed. The park has been constructed on UC-6 on 1.75 acres of land at a cost of Rs 25 million. Speaking on the occasion Kamal pointed out that the park site had turned into a garbage dumping ground and was a shelter place for addicts.
He acknowledged that with all out efforts by Haq Parast Town Nazim Javed Ahmed and IT Minister Raza Haroon, this place has now developed into a beautiful and fascinating park for which he extended felicitations to everyone. Mustafa Kamal said that if compared with the last 55 years, one would find the development during the four years of Haq Parast government much greater.
However, these works are like a drop in the ocean and still a lot has yet to be done. "We have set a trend and in future also the development process would continue to move ahead. I thank Allah who enabled me not only to implement development schemes in the city but also promoted investment. Peace and stability in Sindh is because of MQM," he said. He said that Karachi provided oxygen to Pakistan and within a short period, the Haq Parasts implemented the projects of parks, flyovers, underpasses, roads and other development schemes. "I will take guarantee of elimination of encroachments if police is placed under City Government", he said.
Kamal said that studies regarding storm water drains have been carried out and soon work on them will start. Addressing the ceremony, IT Minister Raza Haroon said that their works during the period from 2005 to 2009 were before everyone and there was no need to tell anything in this regard. He described Al-Murtaza Park another achievement of Town Nazim Javed Ahmed. Raza Haroon said local government system has solved the problems of people at grass root level and this system is totally in the interest of people and name of Mustafa Kamal stands guarantee to its success.
