Schools and colleges working under Federal Directorate of Education (FDE) will remain open, said Director General FDE Shaista Pirzada. Talking to APP Sunday night, she clarified that unlike some private schools and federal government schools in cantonment areas, which reportedly were closed for three days to a week, FDE run institutions will continue to hold classes.
According to media reports, schools in cantonments in various parts of the country and private schools like City School, Beacon House School and Roots School were closed due to security threats.
