City government financial crisis: Sindh finance department to release funds to pay employees
A meeting under the chairmanship of Sindh Chief Minster Syed Qaim Ali Shah decided here at Chief Minster House on Wednesday that the Sindh finance department would immediately release 50 percent of the Rs 515 million outstanding funds to the city government on account of employees' salaries.
According to a press release issued by the Chief Minster secretariat, the remaining funds would be released next month. It was also decided that the federal government would be consulted for the outstanding development funds of the City District Government Karachi, while the provincial government would resolve the financial crisis of the city government with mutual understanding.-PR
