HBFC to auction 500 houses

The House Building Finance Co-operation (HBFC) will auction 500 houses of defaulters if owners of the house fail to pay dues within recommended time period, said Zonal Manager Shakar Hussain here on Thursday. While talking to APP, he said that the arrangements for the auction of 200 houses were completed but 137 defaulters paid dues, then auction of the remaining houses was stopped for a few days further.
He said that notices were served to 250 defaulters in Muzaffargarh, Dera Ghazi Khan and Vehari while 16 houses were auctioned in September and October in Multan, Rahim Yar Khan, and Muzaffargarh. The Zonal Manager of HBFC disclosed that Multan zone has recovered target set by the department.
