Karachi Police have been directed to start search of the 184 missing criminals of the Fourth Schedule as soon as possible, it is reliably learnt. This was discussed at the law enforcement agencies meeting held at home department on Monday. The agenda of meeting was Fourth Schedule, which was attended by Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Karachi Waseem Ahmed, DIGs of all three zones and TPOs.
A total of 205 criminals belonging to different banned outfits like Jundullah, Lashkar-e-Jhangvi, Sipah Sahaba-i-Paistan, al Qaeeda, Sipah Mohammad Pakistan, Hizbul Tehreek, Jaish Mohammad, Lashkar-e-Tayyaba, were included under the Fourth Schedule, they said, adding that all these criminals were bound to ensure attendance at the concerned police station and the law enforcers were also asked to monitor their activities.
According to sources, these missing criminals might disrupt the city's law and order anytime. These people were also bound to inform the police high ups about their movement in the city, however, due to apathy of concerned police stations and law enforcers, these criminals went missing couple of months ago and it is expected that they might create havoc as majority of them have undergone strong jihad training in Afghanistan.
They said that the law enforcement agencies had handed over a detailed list of these missing criminals including concerned police stations, complete information of their guarantors with telephone numbers. The list was prepared keeping an eye on the movement of the criminals to ensure safety and security of lives in the province particularly Karachi, they added.
City police along with other law enforcement agencies have started investigating the guarantors of these criminals and measures are being taken to locate these persons, they said. Communication had been forwarded to all Station House Officer (SHOs) of city police to keep a vigil eye on the movement of suspected persons and start search of the missing criminals, they further said.
