Media over the period has acquired great importance globally. This realisation suggests responsibility without any prejudice. Pakistan has been the main focus of the foreign and local media on issues and stories of immense sale value in the past few years. Journalists from all over the world come and honed their skills here. It is quite encouraging to have such ventures and so important is the filing of stories in the correct perspective.
Some time back, a French journalist was caught doing a fake story about Balochistan. There are indications that some foreign elements are trying to approach the local media men to take their side of the story and malign Pakistan on the Balochistan issue. The resolve with which the local media has performed is praiseworthy. Now again is the time to be conscious of any negative propaganda against the state by foreign elements and give a suitable reply.
