UBL Capital Protected Fund - I, a closed-end fund managed by UBL Fund Managers has recently been assigned with a Capital Protection Fund Rating (CPFR) of 'AA+(cpf)' by JCR-VIS Credit Rating Company (JCR-VIS CRC). This rating indicates a very high probability of timely repayment of principal investment. The risk is modest but may vary slightly from time to time because of changes in the economic conditions.
Launched in April 2008, UCPF-I is a three (3) year fixed-term fund that ensures protection of the principal investment of investors while aiming to provide high level of returns by capturing potential upward market movements by investing in the equity markets.
In August 2009, the Fund announced stock dividend and issued bonus certificates in the proportion of three (3) certificates for every hundred (100) certificates for its investors which translate into 3 percent of the par value of Rs 10 per certificate.-PR
