A spokesman for the Ministry of Industries and Production while contradicting the contents of the news item published in "Business Recorder, Islamabad" on November 12, 2009 titled "Rehman, Wattoo, Ashraf and Mukhtar on NRO list" has said that the news item is totally misleading.
He clarified that Federal Minister for Industries and Production Mian Manzoor Ahmad Wattoo was subjected to political victimisation and false cases were registered against him and his family members. He remained in confinement for three long years. The Minister contested each and every case in the relevant courts. The charges were totally baseless and he was honourably acquitted and exonerated from the charges levelled against him. So there is no question at all for taking benefit of NRO.
