The CCTV footage of deadly suicide car bombing on Pestakhara police-post in which 13 people were killed and dozens others injured has been released to media here on Sunday. According to the footage, the suicide bomber in an Alto-model car packed with explosive came and rammed into police check-post when a policeman intercepted it minutes after it crossed the Ring Road.
The footage shows that a corolla car and a flying-coach can also be witnessed being destroyed in the deadly blast. Meanwhile, city police have registered FIR in police station Pestakhara against central Ameer of banned Laskhar-Islam, Mangal Bagh and six others co-accomplices Wahid, Taiyab, Syed Noor, Satana Gul, Fazal Ahmed and Saifur Khan.
SSP Operation Karim Khan told APP that security measures had further been stepped up in the provincial capital and vehicles were being checked at check posts. He said that CCTV cameras had been installed at various sensitive places. He said that SDPOs and SHOs had been directed to be vigilant and ensure night patrolling in their respective areas to thwart the nefarious designs of anti-state elements.
