The women wing of Jamaat-i-Islami (JI) took out 'Go America Go' rally on Wednesday rejecting the pro-US policies of the government. The protesters strongly denounced the reported expansion of US Embassy and Blackwater, a US security firm, in the country's capital. The Aabpara chowk echoed with the slogans of 'Go America Go,' 'Friend of America is a traitor' and 'India-Israel-America connivance unacceptable'.
The protesters demanded immediate end to the US interference in the internal affairs of Pakistan. They said that the root cause of all the problems that the country is facing now is a reaction to unwarranted US meddling. JI Ameer Syed Munawwar Hassan was leading the rally, while hundreds of female activists of JI participating in the rally condemned the government's pro-US policies and called upon the leadership of the country to shun toeing the US agenda.
Addressing the rally, JI Ameer Syed Munawwar Hassan alleged that America, India and Blackwater are behind the current unrest in the country, adding that the US is actually waging anti-Islam war under the guise of so-called war on terror. Terming the US as the biggest terrorist, Munawar solely held the US responsible for the bloodshed inside Pakistan.
"An international conspiracy is being hatched against Pakistan and the government should take serious notice of it or it would be disastrous", he added. He further said that under the patronage of the US, India and Israel were providing arms and imparting training to the militants, which is aimed at destabilising Pakistan and seizing its nuclear arsenals.
The JI chief said that his party would continue the movement till the root out the US from the region. Munawar said that the whole nation was with JI in the movement it has launched against the US. He added that the nation has given its verdict in our favour in the October 23 referendum, conducted by JI against Kerry-Lugar Bill.
He said that the coalition partners PPP, ANP and JUI-F are the abettors of the US policies in the country, while the whole nation is running the 'Go America Go' movement on roads against US policies. After Malakand and Fata, now military operations are being planned in Quetta, he said, adding that the US is also eyeing Karachi, now. Kamra and GHQ even are not safe today, Munawar pointed out.
Blaming ANP, JI Ameer said that despite making tall claims of being the representative party of Pashtoons, ANP always ignores Pashtoons while important decision are made. In fact, ANP was with Congress party during partition and with Russia during Afghan war, and now it is supporting US in the killing of Pashtoons, he added.
"Zardari and Gilani have bowed before the US, but the nation will never accept this slavery", Munawar told the participants, adding, that the US has converted its Islamabad Embassy into a fortress and planned to occupy Pakistan. "We are being compelled to accept supremacy of Afghanistan and India through Kerry-Lugar Bill, but JI will continue its "Go America Go" movement and compel the rulers to give up pro-US policies", he maintained.
