The district administration has sent 5 truckload of relief goods to Dera Ismail Khan to help the operation affectees of South Waziristan. The trucks were sent from the office of Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce and Industries (FCCI) under the supervision of DCO Saeed Wahlah.
The relief goods comprised of quilts, blankets, tents/tarpaulin sheets, utensils of domestic use, medicines, pulses, dry milk, rice, flour, sugar, ghee and other edibles, collected with the co-operation of FCCI, All Pakistan Textile Processing Mills Association, All Pakistan Textile Exporters Association, Anjuman Tajran, and Red Crescent Society.
The DCO appreciated the sympathetic sentiments of the local industrialists, traders and business community, and expressed that they extended generous co-operation whenever they were called for the cause of suffering humanity. He termed the sending of the relief goods a gift of Eid-ul-Azha for the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs). The industrialists and businessmen reciprocated that they would not leave alone, any countrymen, falling victim to any catastrophe.
President FCCI, Sh. Abdul Qayyum, Sr. Vice President, Muhammad Ayub Mughal, Vice President, Shabbir Hussain Chawla, Chairman PTEA, Sh. Khurram Mukhtar, Vice Chairman, Suhail Rahim Pasha, Regional Chairman, Aptma, Mian Aftab, Vice Chairman, Ajmal Farooq, President Anjuman Tajran, Kh. Shahid Razaq Sikka, General Secretary, Mehmud Alam, and other industrialists, businessmen and traders were present on the occasion.
