Amir Jamaat-i-Islami Syed Munawar Hassan has said that the US embassy in Islamabad is involved in suicide attacks and terrorist activities in the country, deploring that there is no one in the government to take notice of the embassy's suspicious activities.
According to JI media cell, he said this while addressing a big public meeting at Khaksar Chowk, Pishin, during his visit to Balochistan. He said the innocent Pakistanis were becoming victim of the "joint operation" of Blackwater and RAW.
"Despite having solid evidence of India's involvement, the rulers are not lodging any protest with New Delhi nor raising the issue at any international forum," he added. He said JI was going to observe three-day protest against India's involvement in terrorism in Pakistan from December 14.
Expressing his deep grief and sorrow over the Rawalpindi mosque attack, Munawar Hassan urged Pakistan Army top brass to review its policies. He said that the military operations had created hatred between the nation and the armed forces.
Describing the Balochistan situation as explosive, he said Baloch were being driven to the blind alley. He said the Baloch people had been deceived in name of packages even in the past. Various committees were formed on Balochistan previously but their reports did not see the light of the day. This is sprinkling salt on their wounds, he added.
He vowed to expose the politicians sitting in the parliament pushing the province towards separation. He also appealed the nation to protest against the federal government's unfair treatment of Balochistan province. He said his Balochistan visits -sixth in the last eight months- was aimed at getting first hand knowledge of the problems of the province and to exchange views with the Baloch leadership on national issues.
Munawar Hassan said that after ravaging NWFP, the US had its eyes on Balochistan and in such a critical situation, the parliament and the armed forces were not playing their due role.
Earlier, talking to journalists at Quetta airport upon his arrival, the JI Amir termed Obama's Afghan policy as declaration of war against Pakistan. "US wanted to make Pakistan the centre of its Afghan war. It is planning drone attacks on Quetta followed by Southern Punjab and the US Consul General at Karachi had already talked about that," he added. He claimed that US wanted to create anarchy in Pakistan through military operations and drone attacks. "A legitimate government of Taliban in Afghanistan was dethroned by the US with the help of Pervez Musharraf and a pro-India regime was installed there," he added. However, he said, the Nato forces from 40 countries were facing defeat in Afghanistan, which was evident from the announcement for fresh troop surge, he concluded.
