A swine flu victim died on Monday at a local hospital, alarming the health authorities who immediately issued red alert to all the hospitals in the metropolis. Iftikhar, a patient of swine flu working as physiotherapist at Social Security Hospital, was admitted to a local hospital a few days ago. His initial tests had confirmed symptoms of swine flu and eventually he died on Monday.
The concerned hospital immediately put the relevant staff under observation while administering preventive measures. The death of swine flue victim has panicked the health authorities in Punjab who put all the hospitals on red alert while instructing them to allocate beds and test arrangements for suspect cases from now onwards.
