The Multan Motor Rickshaw Drivers Association held a protest rally against the rise in LPG prices at Hussain Agahi Chowk here on Wednesday. Rally was led by President of the Association, Abbas Umar Daraz and General Secretary Ameer Khan. Abbas Umar Daraz said on this occasion that dealers have increased the price of LPG at their own will and it is being sold at Rs 100 per kg whereas the government rate of LPG gas is Rs 65 per kg.
He said that dealers are demanding their own prices of LPG in different areas of the city including Jalilabad, Rashidabad, Chowk Kumharanwala, MDA Chowk, Railway Station and Gulgasht. He demanded of Chief Minister Punjab, Mian Shahbaz Sharif, and Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry to take suo motu notice of the situation and save the rickshaw drivers from this injustice.
